Waiting List
Peter Pan Preschool in Wangi Wangi, Newcastle NSW
As the demand for quality preschool is high, our centre has a waiting list. We encourage you to place your name on it. Places are offered based on when your child was added to our waiting list, whether they are Priority 1 or Priority 2 (see below), and the area you reside in.
For all enquiries regarding enrolment or the waiting list please email enrolments@peterpanpreschool.com.au
Information regarding enrolment and orientation is below the Enrol Here button.
If enrolling more than one child, complete the first child’s application, then check your email for your account login. Additional children can be added through your login to Xap.
Enrolment Priorities
Peter Pan Preschool will be enrolling children 2 days per week based on the Department of Education requirements below and for children who live in the Rathmines to Myuna Bay area first. All children who live outside this area may be offered places after all local 4-year-olds have been offered places. Please note we will not be enrolling children for 1 day or 3 or more days per week.
Due to high demand, children who turn 4 after 31st July in the year of enrolment may not receive a place until the following year.
As per DECs funding conditions, the priorities for enrolment will be as follows:
Priority of Access
Children who are at least 4 years old on or before July 31 of that preschool year and not enrolled or registered in a school
Children who are at least 3 years old on or before July 31 of that preschool year and are:
Children from low-income families
Children with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background
Children with disabilities or additional needs
Children with English language needs
Children who are at risk of significant harm (from a child protection perspective).
This priority follows the Department of Education Start Strong funding requirements.
The NSW Parliament has passed a Bill to amend the Public Health Act to strengthen vaccination enrolment requirements in early childhood education and care. From 1 January 2018, Peter Pan Preschool will NOT BE ABLE TO ENROL children who are unvaccinated due to their parents’ conscientious objection.
Minimum Days
Due to funding requirements we have a minimum & maximum of 2 days per week.

Visiting our Centre
You are most welcome to come to the preschool for a look around. Our preferred time is on a sunny day between 9.30 and 10.30am. This is when our children are outside playing in our wonderful outdoor space. Your child will be able to play on our swings, slide, or many other areas in our yard.
Orientation Day
In September - October each year, the centre has an orientation day for children who will be attending preschool the following year. Here you will meet the staff, view the centre and your child can have a play.
If we have any vacancies available throughout the year we will give you a call. If we cannot find a place for your child we will be in contact with families on our waiting list from August for children who will be 4 on or before 31st July the year of enrolment. Children who are 3 turning 4 from 1st August will be contacted if we have any remaining preschool vacancies.
